Overview

Netyra: WiFi SKEY is a Wi-Fi credential manager and network utility. It is designed to keep saved Wi-Fi credentials on the user's device unless the user explicitly chooses to share or report information.

Information processed on the device

Netyra may process Wi-Fi network names (SSIDs), Wi-Fi passwords provided or imported by the user, network aliases, local connection observations, and images selected by the user for Wi-Fi QR-code import.

Wi-Fi passwords stored by Netyra are encrypted using Android Keystore-backed encryption. QR images selected for import are decoded locally and are not uploaded by Netyra.

Network utility requests

When the user opens the Ping feature, Netyra makes network connections to measure TCP latency and queries ipwho.is to display the public IP address and internet service provider information. The remote service necessarily receives network request information such as the user's public IP address.

Advertising and privacy choices

Netyra includes Google Mobile Ads SDK 25.4.0 and Google User Messaging Platform (UMP) SDK 4.0.0. For users who have not purchased ad removal, a banner may be shown only on the non-modal main screen. Ads are not shown in credential details, password or QR dialogs, Backup, bug reports, Nearby, Ping, Settings, or purchase screens.

Google states that the Mobile Ads SDK automatically collects and shares IP address (which may estimate approximate location), user product interactions, diagnostics, and device/account identifiers including advertising ID and app set ID. Google states that it uses this data for advertising, analytics, and fraud prevention and that the data is encrypted in transit. Netyra does not send Wi-Fi passwords, SSIDs, QR contents, backup contents, bug reports, search text, or precise coordinates to the ads SDK.

UMP is used to request consent where required and provide applicable privacy choices. Ad requests and Mobile Ads initialization are allowed only when UMP reports canRequestAds and the user does not have the verified ad-removal entitlement. A cached entitlement for a previously verified purchaser suppresses ad requests while ownership is restored.

Netyra is intended for adults aged 18 and over. Ad requests are configured as not child-directed and not directed to users under the age of consent, with a maximum ad content rating of PG.

See Google's advertising data disclosure and Google Privacy Policy for more information.

Optional purchases

Netyra offers the Google Play Billing product remove_ads, an optional one-time, non-consumable purchase. It is not a subscription. All functionality remains free; the purchase only removes ads permanently for the purchasing Google Play account. The planned US base price is $4.99, but the actual localized price displayed by Google Play applies.

Netyra also offers optional consumable Tip products that support independent development. Tips do not unlock features, remove ads, provide an advantage, or represent charitable donations. Tip purchases are consumed after Google Play confirms payment so that a user may voluntarily purchase them again.

Netyra receives the product ID, purchase status/token, and acknowledgement or consumption information needed to process purchases. Netyra does not receive card, bank, or other payment credentials. The remove_ads purchase is acknowledged, never consumed, and queried through Google Play on startup and resume. A local verified ad-removal entitlement is cached for continuity, while Google Play remains authoritative. Ownership can be restored through Google Play after reinstall when using the purchasing account. Tip purchases do not create a persistent app entitlement. Google processes payment information under its own terms and privacy notice.

Bug reports

The user may voluntarily create a bug report containing an email address, subject, description, app version, Android version, device manufacturer/model and, only if explicitly inserted by the user, a limited technical diagnostic log. Netyra redacts Wi-Fi SSIDs from that log before insertion. The report is handed to the user's selected email application or webmail service, where the user controls whether it is sent.

Passwords, Wi-Fi QR contents, BSSIDs, backup passwords and search text are not intentionally included in the diagnostic log.

Sharing Wi-Fi credentials

When the user explicitly chooses to share a saved network, Netyra can generate a Wi-Fi QR code and an Android sharing intent. The receiving app selected by the user receives the shared information. Netyra does not automatically transmit saved credentials to a developer server.

Backup and restore

Netyra can export a password-encrypted backup file at the user's request to a location selected through Android's document picker. Netyra does not automatically upload backup files.

Permissions

Netyra may request nearby Wi-Fi/device permissions and precise location permission because Android classifies Wi-Fi scan results and SSID access as location-sensitive. Netyra does not request background location and does not use precise location permission to obtain or store GPS coordinates or provide precise coordinates to advertising. Separately, Google Mobile Ads may infer approximate location from the device's IP address.

Data retention and deletion

Netyra has no user account or developer-hosted credential database. To delete app-controlled data:

  1. Delete an individual saved network from its details screen in Netyra.
  2. To delete all local Netyra data, use Android Settings → Apps → Netyra → Storage → Clear data, or uninstall Netyra. This immediately removes app-controlled Wi-Fi records, encrypted passwords, settings, and the local ad-removal entitlement cache from the device.
  3. To request deletion of a bug report previously sent to Okanid Dev, email netyrawifiskey@gmail.com with the subject Netyra data deletion request. Include the sender email, approximate date, and report subject needed to identify it. Okanid Dev will delete the identifiable report email, description, attached app/device metadata, and any inserted diagnostic log within 30 days, unless retention is required by law or to address fraud, abuse, or security.

Temporary shared QR images in the app's private cache are cleared on a later cold start and may also be removed by Android. User-created backup files and copies shared to other apps must be deleted by the user from their chosen storage location or receiving service. Google Play retains authoritative purchase records, and Google or other user-selected services retain data under their own policies; Netyra cannot delete records controlled by those services.

Third-party services

Features may interact with Google Play services for Google Code Scanner and Billing, Google Mobile Ads and UMP, ipwho.is for public IP/ISP lookup, the user's chosen email/webmail service for bug reports, and apps selected through Android's Share Sheet.

Google states that Code Scanner keeps scan images and results on-device, while ML Kit may send device/app information, identifiers, performance metrics, feature events and errors to Google for diagnostics and usage analytics. Google states that these ML Kit metrics are encrypted in transit and are not shared with third parties. This is separate from the Mobile Ads collection and sharing described above. Other external services may process data under their own privacy policies.

Security

Netyra uses Android Keystore-backed authenticated encryption for saved Wi-Fi passwords, password-based authenticated encryption for portable backups, secure-window protection for sensitive screens, and Android sensitive-clipboard handling where supported.

Children

Netyra is intended for adults aged 18 and over and is not designed for children.

Changes

This policy may be updated when Netyra's features or data practices change. The current effective date will be shown on this page.
